As Site Unseen is National, the project needs a greater amount of energy, more ideas and a larger support base. We received all of this (and more) from around the country. The committee has been particularly over whelmed with the encouragement from campus staff and their students’ enthusiasm. It is difficult to express our gratitude to everyone who contributed!

Firstly, we must thank the owners of the 1013 images we received. Entries were submitted from 46 campuses, extending as far as Nambour (QLD) and Devenport (TAS). With space for just 200 images we would have liked to produce multiple books as the standard of work was excellent. Congratulations to the 126 students whose photographs appear in this book! It was stiff competition, so be proud that you have excelled amongst your peers.

Once again, thanks to our fantastic naming sponsor Fujifilm Australia. They did not hesitate to sponsor the project at a National level and without fail provided advice and assistance when and wherever it was needed. We are so grateful for your ongoing support and belief in the project.

Many thanks to the photographic businesses and tertiary campuses around Australia who acted as “drop off” locations for entries. Your service was vital in keeping entry costs down for the students. We thank you for your time and patience, as sometimes you were inundated with images as well as questions!

The countless sponsors who financially contributed to this unique project, thank you for your investment in photographic education and for your belief in our vision. Without you this project could not evolve.

Our thanks goes to the six professional photographers who judged the masses of images. Greg Hocking, Jeff Moorfoot, Leon Bird, Lisa Wilde, Suzette Nesire and Toni Fuller donated an entire weekend to select these fine images. They made the process memorable and more efficient than we had anticipated!

Thanks to eCentral TAFE campus for the services provided over the judging weekend. A big thanks to Framecor for assisting with the exhibition preparation and Jeremy Stewart form JS Creative for our interactive website, being our best communicative tool.

A big cheers to those of you who gave in many other capacities helping to make this project possible; the media who gave us well needed exposure, the venues who provided space for fundraisers, the businesses who donated prizes and the people who attend our events. Your contributions help improve the ever growing tertiary photographic community.

Greetings and thanks to the past Site Unseen committee members around the globe. All the encouragement we receive is essential in maintaining motivation. And, a “we’ll be home soon” to the people who live with us and love us. We have been absent from your lives while we’ve immersed ourselves in this project, so we apologise and we are eternally grateful for your patience. Your unconditional support helps us survive it all.

Lastly, the committee; Becky, Claire, Dave, Hels, Jem, Lou, Howard and Sandy. We wouldn’t have chosen any other travel partners with which to traverse this path. The waves in the project appeared like ripples, as there is nothing that team work can not overcome.
